It is a broad spectrum insecticidal dust for the control of stored maize and small grain cereals pests, including control of Larger Grain Borer.
Actellic Super Insecticide: It is a broad spectrum insecticidal dust for the control of stored maize and small grain cereals pests, including control of Larger Grain Borer.
Actellic super has fumigant, stomach and contact activity against insect pests. Pirimiphos-methyl through its fumigant activity effectively controls weevils and other pests while permethrin through its contact and stomach activity effectively controls Larger grain borer.
For best results, grains should be treated at the time of storing as established infestations are difficult to control. A treated grain is protected for at least 6 months.
RATES OF USE: For cob maize, sprinkle after every layer of 30-40cm while for shelled grain; mix 50g for every 90kg bag of grain using a shovel and some on the outside of the bag to reduce re-infestation.
It is toxic to the environment thus the used package should be properly disposed to avoid contamination of rivers, dams and fish ponds.
